Free Legal Services. Lawyers & Justices of the Peace. Discount Immigration Services.
We have been in operation for 24 years.
We were formally known as the Whitireia Community Law Centre, but rebranded and moved in 2019.
We are an independent Community Law Centre with our own governance board made up of locals and affiliated to the Community Law movement.

No appointment needed for our free legal services, just walk-in to see free lawyers or Justices of the Peace. We witness signatures, swear affidavits and make certified copies for free for everyone.
Our fee-paying Immigration Services and Work/Limited Licences services are available for walk in's or otherwise by appointment.
We provide a full range of community legal services to the Porirua and Kāpiti communities. We also provide legal representation for people facing criminal prosecutions, where legal aid is not available because of the nature of the offence.
We also give advice over the phone, although if the matter is complex or documents need to be sighted or drafted clients will be asked to come in. When we give ‘phone advice', there are a number of questions we will have to ask to establish a client’s identity and entitlement to our services.
In a claim against a restaurant, a chef was able to claim unjustified dismissal, under payment of wage and damages with the help of our lawyers.
We were able to get a bus driver a discharge without conviction for driving with excess breath alcohol with the help of our lawyers.
Our lawyers have been able to help a number of workers from Porirua working at Transmission Gully get their WTR visas.
Our lawyers were successful in representing a nurse before the Nursing Council and help them retain their registration and keeping name suppression.
Our lawyers were successful in obtaining the cancellation of a removal order for a client.
