We have been proudly serving our community for 30 years.
Formerly known as the Whitireia Community Law Centre, we rebranded and relocated to our current premises in 2019.
As an independent Community Law Centre, we are governed by a dedicated board of local trustees and are proudly affiliated with the wider Community Law movement.

We make accessing legal help as simple as possible by offering free legal services on a walk-in basis, with no appointment necessary.
Anyone can drop in to see our free lawyers or access our Justice of the Peace services, which include witnessing signatures, swearing affidavits, and certifying copies completely free of charge.

We provide a full range of community legal services to the Porirua and Kāpiti communities. We also provide legal representation for people facing criminal prosecutions, where legal aid is not available because of the nature of the offence.
We also give advice over the phone, although if the matter is complex or documents need to be sighted or drafted clients will be asked to come in. When we give ‘phone advice', there are a number of questions we will have to ask to establish a client’s identity and entitlement to our services.
